Protein and Fat is where it’s at!

Listen folks, there’s no getting around it. Protein is King and Fat is Queen.
Why so much confusion about anything over 80 grams of protein a day causing kidney problems, fat making you fat and causing heart problems….
NOT TRUE!
It’s not as simple as that. These conditions and processes are SO much more COMPLEX that it boggles my mind as to why people continue to believe that.
Especially since all the CREDIBLE SCIENCE and empirical evidence proves otherwise!
Actually, I do KNOW why people continue to believe it.
They are TOLD to believe it. And it seems like they will continue to be told to believe that ‘high’ protein and moderate fat diets are bad and that higher-carb low-fat diets are best.
According to the official government word on nutrition, the 2010 Dietary Gudelines will remain UNCHANGED (high-carb/low-fat diet is best for health) despite ALL the evidence that proves that the very OPPOSITE is TRUE! (go see for yourself at dietaryguidelines.gov)

Listen, I don’t want to bore you with all the evidence. Let me give you the bottom line that NO ONE talks about…
Fernando’s BOTTOM LINE:
ALL the science PROVES that:
There is a physiological requirement for Protein…
There is a physiological requirement for Fat…
Yet, there is NO physiological requirement for Carbohydrate!
This is why we have ESSENTIAL amino acids.
This is why we have ESSENTIAL fatty acids.
A deficiency in either of those would prove FATAL to the organism.
Yep. You would DIE.
So for all of you that PERSIST in confusing people and continue to promote all these high-carb diets that lead to nowhere – I have these simple questions that NO ONE has ever answered effectively to date….
My Questions:
a. WHY is there no physiological requirement for Carbohydrate?
b. Name me ANY ESSENTIAL Carbohydrates?
If anyone out there has the answers to these….please let me know. I’ve been trying to get these answers from anyone in the nutrition field for YEARS without success.
Until then, here’s what I have to believe that the answers are:
a. Because the body doesn’t need it to survive.
b. There aren’t any!
THAT my friends, is the very simple reason why you don’t need to eat as many carbs as you are lead to believe.
The body DOESN’T NEED CARBS TO LIVE.
However, without Protein and fat…you would die!
AND by following a higher protein, moderate fat, low carb diet you’d also be healthier, leaner, more fit and more energetic while you’re alive.
Sounds simple enough, right?
